Four Nurses at Northwest Texas Healthcare System Chosen Among the Texas Nurses Association Panhandle Great 25 Nurses for 2018

Four Northwest Texas Healthcare System nurses have been chosen for their outstanding service by the Texas Nurses Association Panhandle Great 25 Nurses for 2018. The awardees will be honored at the inaugural event on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo, Texas. Their prestigious recognition was determined by the Panhandle Great 25 Nurses Review Panel which evaluated all the nominations that were submitted earlier this year. The Panel did not know the names, titles or employers of any of the nominees, and made their decisions solely by carefully comparing the established criteria with each nominee’s accomplishments in the following areas: 1) Role model, 2) Leadership qualities, 3) Service to the community, 4) Compassionate caregiver and 5) Significant contributions.

The Distinguished Awardees are:

  •  Clint LaFever, RN, BSN, MHA
  •  Teri Quattlebaum, RN, MSN
  •  Carolyn Hudson, RN, MSN
  •  Angela Hamilton, RN

“I am honored to have the best and the brightest healthcare employees in the Panhandle work at Northwest," said Ryan Chandler, Chief Executive Officer at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. “We are excited to recognize Clint, Teri, Carolyn and Angela for their great achievement.”

“These four nurses exemplify the very best of the nursing profession,” said Doug Coffey, Chief Nursing Officer at Northwest Texas Healthcare System.
