The wound care team celebrating the award

Physicians, leaders and clinicians at Northwest Texas Healthcare System’s Wound Care Center are proud to announce that the NWTHS Wound Care Center has earned the President’s Circle Award, Healogics' highest honor recognizing Wound Care Centers® that demonstrate exceptional performance in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and operational excellence.

The President’s Circle Award is presented annually to a select group of Wound Care Centers within the Healogics national network that achieve sustained, top-tier performance across key quality measures, reflecting a continued commitment to patient-centered care and healing excellence.

“This special award highlights the remarkable impact our wound care program has on patients across Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle who depend on advanced, specialized treatment. Our team’s dedication to improving healing rates and quality of life is truly inspiring. We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment and remain committed to expanding access to high-quality wound care for every patient who walks through our doors,” stated Jose Garcia, NWTHS Associate Administrator.

The NWTHS Wound Care Center is part of the Healogics network, which supports nearly 600 hospital outpatient Wound Care Centers nationwide. Through this partnership, the center is managed by Healogics and provides highly specialized and evidenced-based wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.

Advanced wound care modalities may include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. NWTHS Wound Care Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, an advanced treatment that can help accelerate healing in select chronic wounds by increasing oxygen delivery to affected tissue.

“Wound care is never a solo effort. It’s built on the dedication, compassion and expertise of our providers, nursing and support staff who show up consistently to make a difference in the lives of our patients. This award reflects our collective commitment to excellence, patient-centered care and continuous improvement. It inspires us to keep pushing forward — to learn, to grow and to continue raising the bar for the care we provide every day to our patients,” shared Ron Stone, NWTHS Program Director.
